About This Project
A masterclass in proportion and detail, this Toorak residence by Christopher Doyle Architects and Royale Construction reinterprets European classicism through a contemporary lens. The lighting, selected in close alignment with the architecture, underscores the home’s balance of softness and structure.
Lyon Wall Light
Inspired by the lanterns of historic French architecture, the Lyon wall light brings a sense of formality and restraint to the façade. Its aged pewter finish and graceful proportions complement the home’s masonry and ironwork, enriching the entry without overpowering it.
London 4 Light
Perched atop the entry pillars, the London lanterns introduce rhythm and symmetry at arrival. The bevelled glass, black framing, and crisp silhouette sit confidently within a formal garden setting, bridging old-world references with contemporary sharpness.
Senti Down LED Wall Light
In the alfresco zone, the Senti wall lights offer focused illumination and architectural clarity. The slimline design and directional light provide functional coverage while preserving the clean lines of the stonework and joinery.
Sonatina 12 Light Crystal Chandelier
Centrally placed in the formal lounge, the Sonatina chandelier brings sculptural detail and ambient shimmer. With tiered arms, delicate crystal accents and a polished nickel frame, it balances decorative flourish with architectural intent - anchoring the room’s refined symmetry.
